Prince William’s brutal takedown of Meghan Markle before huge fight with brother Harry
Prince William delivered a brutal takedown of Meghan Markle[1] a short while before an altercation with his younger brother Prince Harry[2]. The Prince of Wales[3] delivered a list of fuming descriptors at the Duchess of Sussex, labelling her “rude”, “abrasive”, and “difficult” before a physical fight with Prince Harry took place. The Duke of Sussex was reportedly set upon by his older brother during an encounter at Kensington Palace in 2019, according to an extract from the Duke of Sussex’s book, Spare.
Prince Harry had defended his wife from brother William, who had accused Meghan of copying an increasingly negative “press narrative”.

Prince Harry and Prince William[5] are still reportedly at odds with one another to this day, and a rough encounter between the two back in 2019 only added fuel to the fire[6]. The Duke believed the encounter began due to his brother’s “piping hot” mood. He recalled: “Willy, I can’t speak to you when you’re like this.
He set down the water, called me another name, then came at me. “It all happened so fast. So very fast.
He grabbed me by the collar, ripping my necklace, and he knocked me to the floor. I landed on the dog’s bowl, which cracked under my back, the pieces cutting into me. I lay there for a moment, dazed, then got to my feet and told him to get out.”
The altercation occurred after Meghan publicly disputed a claim made against her that an interaction with Kate Middleton[7] had left the Princess of Wales in tears. She revealed all in an Oprah Winfrey interview, where the Duchess of Sussex said: “A few days before the wedding, she was upset about something…and it made me cry, and it really hurt my feelings.” She was later critical of the palace for not issuing a statement rectifying the events after Princess Kate apologised and sent flowers. It comes as The Mirror[8] reported the Princess of Wales and Meghan Markle’s relationship never truly blossomed, despite the pair being part of the dubbed “Fab Four” with Prince Harry and Prince William.
The duo had been at loggerheads for some time and a series of encounters between the pair left them distant.
Kate had allegedly “grimaced” when the Duchess of Sussex borrowed a lipstick and Meghan was left in tears in the lead-up to her wedding after a row over bridesmaid dresses.
