Salisbury Hospital staff get exclusive local discounts as a thank you from businesses
Businesses are coming forward to offer a variety of exclusive local discounts for Salisbury Hospital staff. It’s part of a new scheme, which Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust has developed in collaboration with Salisbury & District Chamber of Commerce and Salisbury Business Improvement District. The businesses are offering these discounts as a thank you for the hard work and commitment of all staff who work for Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust, who, in the face of rising living costs and unprecedented challenges, continue to show resilience and dedication.
Launching on Wednesday, November 22, the scheme boasts a range of offers and discounts to help hospital staff save money on entertainment, food and drink, home insurance, hairdressing, and much more. Melanie Whitfield, chief people officer for Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust, said: “Our people have told us they value the financial and practical support we can give them and their families. Listening to the feedback, we have created a scheme which supports both hospital staff and Salisbury businesses and I’m delighted that we can work together.
“Alleviating some of the financial pressures for our staff whilst encouraging them to shop locally will be mutually beneficial for the whole community. We are grateful to the local businesses who have demonstrated their commitment to supporting our staff.” Tony White, managing director of Premier Fish, the fishmongers, in Salisbury’s Fish Row, one of the local businesses supporting this scheme said: “We are excited about this whole opportunity – to be able to give something back to such inspiring people is an incredible feeling.”
