Scottish driver rushed to hospital after bus and van collide in horror crash

A van driver was rushed to hospital[1] after crashing with a broken down bus on a busy Scottish road. The incident is reported to have taken place on Saturday morning, November 25, between Lochgelly and Kirkcaldy in Fife[2] on the A92, reports The Daily Record.[3] The white van collided with a large bus which had broken down on the side of the road. The driver of the van[4] was quickly raced to hospital at the Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy.

It is currently unknown what the extent of their injuries are.

Images were shared of the horror crash between the van and the bus with the front of the van seen to have been against the the rear of the bus which is also smashed.

The A92 westbound at the Redhouse roundabout was closed for around an hour on Saturday morning by police following the crash. A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “We were made aware of a crash involving a van and a bus which had broken down on the A92 between Lochgelly and Kirkcaldy around 10am on Saturday, 25 November.

“The driver of the van has been taken to Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy.

The van has been recovered and recovery arranged for the bus.”
