Shooters Hill Road Greenwich crash: Pictures from scene

An air ambulance, one ambulance crew, two paramedics in fast response cars, an incident response officer and the Hazardous Area Response Team also attended. The female pedestrian was treated at the scene for chest, head and leg injuries. She was taken to hospital[1] for further treatment where her condition was assessed as critical.

There are currently long delays between Prince Charles Road and Charlton Way as a result of the crash. A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called by the London Ambulance Service at 07:25hrs on Wednesday, 8 November to reports of a lorry in collision with a pedestrian on Shooters Hill Road, SE10. “Emergency services attended.
The pedestrian has been taken to hospital in a critical condition. “Road closures are in place.” A spokesperson for London Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 7.15am today (8 November) to reports of a road traffic collision in Shooters Hill, Greenwich.
“We sent an ambulance crew, two paramedics in fast response cars, an incident response officer and members of our Hazardous Area Response Team. “We also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance. “The first paramedic arrived in less than five minutes.
“We treated a patient at the scene for chest, head and leg injuries and took her to a major trauma centre as a priority.”
The latest AA maps statement says: “Road closed and long delays due to crash investigation work on A2 Shooters Hill Road both ways between Prince Charles Road and B210 Charlton Way.
Congestion to traffic across Greenwich Park, and via Blackheath Village.”
