The TV picks for the Carabao Cup[3] quarter-final have been revealed by Sky Sports.

It will come as no surprise to viewers that two heavyweight clashes have been selected to be televised by the broadcasting giant.

On Tuesday, December 19th Chelsea[4] will host Newcastle after the Magpies' impressive 3-0 win[5] over Manchester United[6].

That game will kick-off at 8pm and will be shown live on Sky Sports as part of their Carabao Cup coverage.

Then the following day, Liverpool[7] - who beat Bournemouth 2-1 [8]thanks to a Darwin Nunez[9] stunner - will take on West Ham[10] who dispatched Arsenal[11] 3-1 at the London Stadium[12].

Once again that will be an 8pm kick-off to be shown on Sky Sports as confirmed by the Carabao Cup official X account.[13]

Fixture dates and times are yet to be confirmed for the other two quarter-final ties but they are set to take place on the same week.

Given that both Everton and Liverpool have received home draws, it seems most likely that Sean Dyche's side will take on Fulham on Tuesday.

That would leave League one's Port Vale hosting Championship side Middlsebrough as the other game to be played on Wednesday.

Wednesday's fixtures will be followed by the draw for the Carabo Cup semi-final which will be played over two legs.

And with both Merseyside clubs still in the competition we could be set for a derby clash at that stage of the tournament.
