Someone spilled the dirt and blocked a business gate: Chagrin Falls police blotter

CHAGRIN FALLS, Ohio —

Suspicious, Solon Road:

An unknown person delivered 15 yards of dirt and limestone sometime before 7 a.m. Nov.

15 and dumped it in front of the gate of Chagrin Pet and Garden. The matter was reported to police.

Lost property, Solon Road:

A woman reported her purse either missing or stolen 3:23 p.m.

14. A short while later the complainant, 73, contacted police after she found it in her apartment.

Found property, West Street:

A pedestrian found a watch and turned it into the police department for safekeeping 4:31 p.m. Nov.

15. When found, the watch was near 87 West Street.

Fraud, Bell Street:

Someone placed an order of a large number of pizzas to be delivered before 7 p.m. Nov.

18 to a Moreland Hills residence. Upon delivery the homeowner advised they had not placed any such order. The pizza shop manager, 19, reported the incident to police.

Vehicle crash, Carriage Stone Drive:

Officers were dispatched 11:34 p.m.

Nov.

17 to the scene of a single vehicle crash. The driver, 38, of Canyon, Texas, showed signs of impairment and possible injury. He was transported to the hospital for care.

Later police cited h im for failure to control his vehicle, driving while intoxicated and having weapons in his possession while intoxicated.
