Somerset man hauled to court for using mobile while driving

The details published below are from the official court register. Ryan Anthony Burtoo, 31, of Teal Close, Bridgwater[2], pleaded not guilty to the charge of, on December 22 2022 at Eastover, Bridgwater, driving a motor vehicle when he was using a handheld mobile telephone. Burtoo was found guilty by magistrates.
Burtoo was given six driving points, fined GBP161 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of GBP64 and GBP350 costs.
Andrew David Lock, 43, of Midford Road, Taunton, was proved guilty of the charge of, on February 2 2023 at Plymouth, failing to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence. Lock was given six driving points, fined GBP660 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of GBP264 and GBP620 costs.
Richard John Castell, 33, of Dorchester Road, Taunton, admitted to breaching the supervision requirements imposed following release from prison. Castell was committed to prison for 14 days. Nicola Hatherell, 53, of Snake Lane, Bagley, Wedmore, was proved guilty of the charge of, on March 28 2023 at The Speed Enforcement Unit, Bristol, failing to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence.
Hatherell was given six driving points, fined GBP660 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of GBP264 and GBP250 costs. Alastair Michael Marsh, 60, of Cossington, Bridgwater, pleaded guilty to the charge of, on August 13 2021 at The Speed Enforcement Unit, Bristol, failing to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence. Marsh was given six driving points, fined GBP100 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of GBP34 and GBP85 costs.
Dean William Dadds, 36, of Ashcott Place, Burnham-on-Sea[5], admitting to breaching the supervision requirements imposed following a period of imprisonment. Dadds was committed to prison for 14 days. Shane Burford, 30, of Crowcombe Road, Taunton, admitted to breaching the requirements of a community order by failing to attend planned office appointments.
Burford was fined GBP60.
