Teen moped rider, 18, killed in van smash on busy north London road

The 18-year-old was treated on Theobalds Park Road, Enfield (Google Maps) A teenage moped rider has died after a crash with a van in north London. The 18-year-old was treated by London Ambulance Service[1] paramedics on Theobalds Park Road, Enfield[2] just before 9pm on Monday.

Despite their best efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed. Metropolitan Police[3] officers were alerted to a collision involving a van and a moped.

Scotland Yard said: “The driver stopped at the scene and is assisting police with their enquiries. There have been no arrests. “Road closures have now been lifted.”

He added: “Police were called at 8.54pm on Monday, November 20 to a collision involving a van and a moped in Theobalds Park Road N2. “The rider of the moped, believed to be aged 18, was treated by LAS. “He was pronounced dead at the scene and next of kin have been informed.”
