Volvo driver injured in Andoversford crossroads crash with Mercedes van

A car driver was rushed to hospital after being involved in a crash with a van at a set of crossroads near Andoversford. The incident took place near Cotswold Trailers on the A436 at around 12.55pm on October 23. Gloucestershire Police[1] said the crash involved a gold Volvo car and a white Mercedes Sprinter Van.

A man in his 30s who was driving the Volvo was hospitalised with minor injuries, the force added. The driver of the van and a child who was a passenger in the Volvo escaped the crash uninjured. Police have now issued an appeal for witnesses for the incident, with officers keen to hear from anyone who has video footage.

A police statement said: “Police are appealing for witnesses to a collision involving a white Mercedes Sprinter Van and a gold Volvo near Andoversford last month. Emergency services were called to the A436 near Cotswold Trailers shortly before 12.55pm on Monday, October 23 following reports of a two-vehicle collision on the crossroads. “The driver of the car, a man in his 30s, was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

A child who was also travelling in the car and the driver of the van were not injured.

“Officers would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the collision and has not yet spoken to officers or may have any dashcam footage.
