Woman in hospital after Swanton Avenue crash in Dereham

Police were called to Swanton Avenue in Dereham[1] at 12.08pm today (November 29) following reports of a crash[2] between a white Renault Master van and a pedestrian. Emergency services including fire, ambulance and an air ambulance also attended the scene. The pedestrian was a woman in her 70s who was assessed and treated before being taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The incident caused long delays in the area and the police remained at the scene for the majority of the day.
