Woman is hurt in ‘hit and run’ by the Royal Oak pub in Surrey

A pedestrian has been left with injuries after she was hit by a van driver. Surrey Police[1] are appealing for witnesses after the driver failed to stop at the scene earlier this month. The collision happened in Court Road, Caterham[2], around 4.20pm on Monday, November 13. The accident caused the woman to suffer with minor injuries.

In an appeal shared on Facebook, Tandridge Beat (Surrey Police) stated: "The female pedestrian was crossing the road from the pathway, heading towards the Royal Oak pub at the end that leads to Caterham High Street. Three cars were waiting to cross the road, when a dark-coloured van, coming from the direction of the pub, turned into Court Road and collided with the victim, leaving her with minor injuries.

"The van then drove off.

We are particularly keen to speak with the drivers of the three vehicles.
