Rapper 2 Chainz told his fans he’s good on Monday, after he was released from a hospital after suffering injuries from a car crash early Saturday morning in Miami[3].
‘I do appreciate every single person that checked up on me, sometimes someone in my position don’t feel like the love real or maybe it’s mind thing, but I truly felt the love and don’t worry bout me, I’m good, shake back king,’ the Grammy-winning rap artist, 46, said in an Instagram post.
The College Park, Georgia native on Monday shared an image of a totaled vehicle that he said was the one that ‘hit us from behind’ in the crash, adding, ‘Things could have been worse, but it wasn’t.’
Sources told TMZ[4] Monday that 2 Chainz had been examined by doctors and released from the hospital hours after the incident, and while he ‘was just a bit banged up,’ he did not suffer any major injuries.
On Saturday, the Mercy rapper was driving on Interstate 95 when his vehicle was hit from behind, causing him to be transported to a nearby hospital with ‘neck injuries and possibly other injuries,’ according to TMZ[5].

The musical artist, whose full name is Tauheed K. Epps, was cleared of any wrongdoing in the crash, the outlet reported, noting that a Florida Highway Patrol said the three vehicles involved in the accident were a Mercedes, Nissan and Toyota.
A source told the outlet police suspect another driver in the incident was under the influence.
The outlet reported the accident occurred after 2 Chainz had left a strip club[6] called Booby Trap following his appearance at Art Basel[7].
The incident took place near the cross-section of Northwest 22nd Avenue and westbound State Road 112 at around 4:25 a.m.
Saturday, Florida Highway Patrol communications officer Molly Best told the Miami Herald[8].
On Monday’s Instagram post, the rapper received a number of well wishes from his fans and friends, including Super Bowl halftime performer[9] Usher, who said, ‘Glad to see you’re good mannn.’
Actor Marlon Wayans said, ‘Heal up bro. Glad you’re good. I tried to call you but then i realized “i ain’t got that n**** number.”‘
Rapper Busta Rhymes said, ‘Tremendously Grateful for your safety King,’ while DJ Paul K.O.M. of Three 6 Mafia said, ‘This blew my mind cause I was with u celebrating right before it happened. [Love] U brother!’
Photographer Jonathan Mannion said, ‘Glad you’re on the mend, my brother!

The clip also captures a vehicle with extensive damages in the background.
In the Instagram clip, the rapper’s legs were visible as two paramedics load him into the back of the emergency vehicle.
A wrecked vehicle could be seen just a few feet away with the front end completely smashed and parts of it strewn across the highway. Other emergency vehicles, including a police car, were also visible.
Hours before the accident, according to the his Instagram, the star appeared an an event where he thanked the crowd for their support while promoting a new project.
He also stopped by a seafood retailer where he shopped for stone crab, per his videos posted.
Upon initial news of the accident, fans of the rapper took to social media to send messages of support.
One wrote[11], ‘Crazy world hope for speedy recovery 2Chainz,’ as another shared[12], ‘I hope 2Chainz is ok. I have a soft spot in my heart for people who are victims of drunk drivers.’
Yet another follower posted[13], ‘prayers for 2Chainz he has more to offer the world.’

In June, 2 Chainz took to Instagram to reveal his French bulldog TrappyGoHard had died[14].
‘Can’t believe im even saying this man im crushed like a mf man this my heart right here I have had @trappygoyard for 9 years we have traveled and kicked it all over the world and he is no longer here mannn,’ 2 Chainz said in the caption.
He ended the post in saying, ‘I l loved my dog more than some people I know,’ with the hashtag #restinpeace.
The rap star acquired the dog in 2015 from a breeder, and the pooch was a regular on his social media feed, as well as his show Most Expensive S***.
