2 die as ‘unknown’ vehicle hits auto-rick in Agra
Agra: Two people died on Friday when an “unidentified” vehicle collided with an auto rickshaw on Agra[1] – Gwalior highway, police said. Among the victims were a man and a woman, both passengers of the auto-rickshaw. The collision resulted in critical injuries to two others, including a child and the auto-rickshaw driver.ACP Piyush Kant Rai said, “It is not clear whether the accident was caused by a truck or some other vehicle.After getting information, police team rushed to the spot.
Two out of four people rescued were declared brought dead at the hospital. The bodies have been sent for autopsy. Two, including a child, are undergoing treatment.

The deceased have been identified as autorickshaw driver P P Abdul Majeed of Puthanparambil house in Thadaparamba and passengers Muhsina, Thasnima, Raiha Fathima, and Rinsha Fathima. The injured were initially treated at the Manjeri medical college and later shifted to the Kozhikode medical college hospital. The collision between a dumper and a car was caused by a burst tire. The car’s central locking system malfunctioned, trapping the victims inside. While the occupants of the truck escaped, the car immediately caught fire.
