2 juveniles, 8 adults injured in multi-vehicle crash in Columbia

COLUMBIA, Md. (WBFF) — A multi-vehicle car accident on Route 29 injured ten people Sunday afternoon in Columbia, Howard County, according to police. At 3 p.m., a vehicle drove onto Route 29 south from the Route 108 ramp, but the operator lost control of the vehicle, which then hit two other vehicles, according to the Howard County Police Department (HCPD). According to the HCPD, the adult female operator of the vehicle responsible for colliding with the other vehicles was listed in critical, but stable condition. Due to the accident, Route 29 south at Route 108 was closed for over two hours. The ages of the victims ranged from 9-years-old through 42-years-old, with two juveniles and eight adults who sustained non-life threatening or minor injures brought to the hospital for treatment, according to the HCPD.
