64-year-old pedestrian three months after being struck by van on A1 in Cambridgeshire

A woman has died almost three months after being struck by a van while she was on foot on the A1 in Cambridgeshire.

Kerry Shivers, 64, of Elm Croft, Little Paxton, was hit by the Citroen Relay van as she walked on the southbound carriageway near Little Paxton, at about 9pm on Monday, September 18.

She was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge but died of her injuries on Tuesday, December 12.

The driver of the van, a man in his 50s from Derbyshire, was uninjured and helped police with their inquiries.
