A Southampton man who died in M27 crash is named

Hossein Araghian, of Winchester[1] Road, died on November 26 after a crash between junctions one and two near Copythorne[2]. The inquest into his death was opened at Winchester Coroner’s Court yesterday. The inquest heard that Mr Araghian, 62, died at the scene.

At the time of the crash, a police spokesman said it involved a grey Citroen C4 and a black Audi Q5. A teenage woman, the Citroen driver, suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries. Mr Araghian’s cause of death was given as a cardiac rupture due to a road traffic collision.

Senior coroner Christopher Wilkinson adjourned the case for a full inquest to be heard at Winchester Coroner’s Court on July 5 next year.
