A428 crash that shut road between St Neots and Croxton leaves three injured

Three people were injured in a crash on a Cambridgeshire A-road on Saturday (December 9). The A428 Cambridge Road was shut to traffic in both directions between St Neots and Croxton following the crash. Police confirmed the closure shortly after 4pm and the road reopened by 5.30pm. Cambridgeshire[1] Police urged motorists to avoid the area.

A force spokesperson said: “We were called at 3.30pm on Saturday (9 December) to reports of a three vehicle collision on the A428 near Croxton. Officers and paramedics attended and three people were treated for minor injuries. The road was closed while the vehicles were recovered.”

After the crash[2], traffic data company Inrix said: “Queueing traffic due to earlier police incident on A428 in both directions from B1428 Cambridge Road (St Neots) to Toseland Road (Croxton). All lanes have been re-opened.” Do you want more of the latest Cambridgeshire news as it comes in?
