A444 Coventry crash live updates as delays hit key Christmas shopping day
Drivers are facing huge delays this morning after a crash on the A444 in Coventry[1]. It happened at around 10.30am today (Sunday, December 17). The busy carriageway is partially blocked.
Traffic is said to be queuing towards the M6 due to an accident between Newtown Road and the M6[2] J3 ( Nuneaton[3] /Coventry). Motorists have reported that traffic remains at a standstill. Drivers have been told to avoid the area with emergency services believed to be at the scene.
This comes on a vital day for Coventry’s retailers.
WIth just eight days to go until Christmas, it is one of the few weekend days left, and the delays could hit both businesses and shoppers.
