The accident occurred on the A9 by Carrbridge earlier this evening.
The A9 is currently closed in both directions following an accident by Carrbridge. The incident occurred at around 6.38pm south of the Blackmount junction. Traffic Scotland reported: “The A9 at Carrbridge is currently closed in both directions due to a road traffic incident.
“Motorists are advised to use an alternative route at this time.” Traffic Scotland added that motorists should expect longer than normal journey times. Police Scotland is being contacted for an update.
Motorists heading south could follow diversions via the Blackmount turn-off onto the A938 and onto Carrbridge then follow the B9153 to Kinveachy junction and onto the A95 to the Granish junction just north of Aviemore and back onto the A9, and vice versa for northbound traffic.
