An 18 year old has been hospitalised after Hartlepool crash
The incident happened on Oxford Road at 4.20pm on Friday (December 22) and one of the young men was left with a broken leg. The motorcyclist was travelling up the road towards Catcote Road when he collided with a Renault Capture as the driver pulled out of Heathfield Drive. Both men were thrown from their bikes and one of them was taken by ambulance to James Cook University Hospital for treatment.
The 84-year-old Renault driver was left uninjured. A Cleveland Police spokesperson said: “Police are appealing for camera footage following a Hartlepool collision which left a motorcyclist with a broken leg.
“The incident happened on Oxford Road in Hartlepool at 4:20pm on Friday 22nd December, when a motorbike travelling up Oxford Road towards Catcote Road, collided with a Renault Capture as the driver pulled out of Heathfield Drive. “Both of the 18-year-old boys on the motorbike were thrown from the bike. One got back up and fled the scene on foot, and the other sustained a broken leg.
“He was taken to James Cook University Hospital by ambulance.
“The 84-year-old driver of the Renault was unhurt.
“Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with doorbell or dashcam footage, or CCTV to contact police on 101.”
