Appeal for information following fatal A96 Tyrebagger crash

Road Policing officers are appealing for information following a fatal crash near Tyrebagger. The incident, involving a blue Ford Fiesta, happened around 4.55pm on Wednesday, December 20 on the A96 Aberdeen to Blackburn road near Tyrebagger, Aberdeen. The driver of the vehicle, a 74-year-old woman, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The road was closed for investigations to be carried out and reopened at 10.30pm. Road Policing Sergeant Sarah Ritchie said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the woman who died and our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances. “We are appealing to anyone who was in the area and saw what happened, or anyone who has dashcam footage, to contact please get in touch.”

Anyone who can help is asked to call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 2587 of 20 December.
