Arrest after car mounts pavement and crashes in Kingstanding
A driver was arrested after a stolen car mounted a pavement and crashed in a city street. Officers spotted the vehicle, a white Corsa, in Kingstanding[1]. A man was chased on foot shortly after the crash before being detained. West Midlands Police[2] shared an image of the car on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter.
It showed the car in the middle of a pavement in a residential area. Another image showed the suspect in handcuffs. The exact location or date of the incident was not disclosed.
WMP Traffic wrote at 8pm yesterday: “This stolen Corsa from Wolverhampton was spotted in Kingstanding on cloned plates.
“It drove onto the pavement before crashing.
The driver [was] caught in a foot chase.”
