Attempted murder investigation underway in Leamington

Serious but non life-threatening injuries are being reported after a stabbing in Leamington. Provincial police say officers with the Leamington detachment were called to an Erie Street South address Friday night. According to police, officers located a man with what appeared to be stab wounds and a second man was arrested at the scene without incident.

Police say a 44-year-old Leamington man is charged with attempt to commit murder and unauthorized possession of weapon.

The Essex County OPP Crime Unit continues to investigate.
