Audi RS7 left mangled in ‘100mph’ crash on M6 and driver refuses breathalyser

Shocking pictures have captured the aftermath of a crash which left an Audi almost completely mangled. Warwickshire[1] Police’s Operational Patrol Unit (OPU) claim that the car was being driven at 100mph when the collision took place on Saturday, December 16. The police force added that a driver, who allegedly failed a roadside breath test, crashed into trees off the M6 near Coventry[2]. Pictures, shared by police, show huge damage to the front of the vehicle, which also has a smashed windshield.

OPU Warwickshire wrote: “On Saturday, December 16, the driver of this Audi RS7 lost control of the vehicle on the M6 Northbound junction 2 Exit. The vehicle left the road into trees leaving one of the passengers with a broken rib. “We arrested the driver at the scene after he failed a roadside breath test.

The driver was taken to hospital where we obtained an evidential blood sample for analysis. “We also recovered the vehicle dash cam showing the driver was travelling in excess of 100mph at the time of the collision. We have commenced a full investigation and will be looking to prosecute the driver for a number of offences.”
