Biker hurt in ‘hit and run’ crash with car near Tesco

A motorbike rider was injured after being involved in a collision with a car in Cirencester[1]. The incident happened at the Tesco roundabout at around 6.45pm on Saturday, December 16. Gloucestershire police officers had been called to the collision on the A419 at around 6.45pm.

They had received reports of a crash involving the motorbike and a grey car. The driver of the car did not stop at the scene and continued driving in the direction of Swindon. The motorcyclist, a man in his late teens, was taken to Cirencester Hospital where he was treated for a fractured elbow.

Officers are now asking the driver to make contact with police and give an account of what happened. Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who has dashcam footage is also being urged to get in touch by completing the online form[4] and quoting incident 388 of December 16.
