BMW driver arrested on suspicion of drink driving after crash in south Essex
High Street, Billericay (Image: Google Maps) A BMW driver has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving after a crash in south Essex. Essex Police were called to reports of a crash in High Street, Billericay, at 10:45pm on Tuesday.
On arrival, officers found a BMW had collided with a parked Nissan car. The driver was taken to hospital as a precaution before being taken into custody. Essex Police say witnesses told officers the BMW was speeding at the time of the crash.
A spokesman added: "The BMW driver was subject to a roadside breath test and following a positive result, was arrested on suspicion of drink driving.
"He was taken to hospital as a precaution before being taken into custody.
"The 22-year-old was arrested on suspicion of drink driving and has been released under investigation whilst we continue enquiries."
