Body found in Glasgow city centre as police probe man’s ‘unexplained’ sudden death
A man was found dead in the city centre on Wednesday morning, December 20, and police[1] have now launched an investigation into the ‘unexplained’ death. Emergency services, including police and paramedics, raced to Buccleuch Street[2], in Garnethill, just before 8.30am following the sudden death. The force does not believe it to be suspicious.
A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 8.20am on Wednesday, 20 December, 2023, officers were called to Buccleuch Street, Glasgow, following the sudden death of a man. “The death is being treated as unexplained but is not thought to be suspicious.
Enquiries are ongoing. A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.” A Scottish Ambulance spokesperson said: “We received a call today at 08:16 hours to attend an incident on Buccleuch Street in Glasgow.
We dispatched a rapid response unit and one ambulance to the scene.”
