Bolton: Police called after car crash on roundabout

Emergency services were seen on Captain’s Clough Road and Church Road at around 6pm, with a white car seen crashed on the roundabout. Eyewitnesses say only one car appeared to have been involved in the accident and police officers attended the scene. One witness said: “It was a white car, and its front end was smashed on the near side.

“I couldn’t see another car as the police were there and the car was on the roundabout. The witness said he did not believe the incident had been “serious” but was not surprised the crash has occurred. He added: “There is very poor visibility there, unless you were a regular driver you wouldn’t know there was a roundabout there.”

“I don’t think it was serious, just another smash.”

The witness said when he drove passed the road remained open.

Greater Manchester Police has been contacted for further details.
