Boy, 17, fighting for life after car hits pub and then tree in Holmfirth

A 17-year-old boy is fighting for his life after a crash in Holmfirth.[1] West Yorkshire Police[2] say the accident happened when a black Toyota Yaris being driven along Greenfield Road, towards Holmfirth, hit the edge of the Ford Inn pub and collided with a wall and then a tree nearby at 8.26pm on Tuesday. The driver, a 17-year-old boy, was rushed to hospital with serious injuries which are now described as life-threatening.

He was the only person inside the car at the time. Police are now appealing for witnesses and are particularly keen to speak to anyone who may have footage of the crash. Anyone who can help the force should contact the Roads Policing Unit on 101 and quote reference number 1664 of December 5.
