A large section of the M60[1] is closed this morning after a car crashed into a barrier and flipped onto its roof. A seven mile stretch of the anti-clockwise carriageway between Stockport[2] and Denton is shut following the crash at 5.45am. In a statement National Highway said: “A car struck the nearside barrier, overturned and came to rest on its roof.
Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue and North West Ambulance Services attended. “North West Motorway Police remain on scene and will be carrying out collision investigation work. Once complete, recovery and collision clear-up work can begin.
“National Highways traffic officers and service providers are also on scene providing assistance with traffic management.”
