BREAKING: Oldham crash: Woman and teen killed in smash that left child seriously injured

Two people have been killed and a teenager has been left seriously injured in a horror crash[1] in Oldham. Officers were called at about 4pm on Saturday to the two-vehicle crash on Ripponden Road, Oldham. Greater Manchester Police[2] said a 42-year-old woman and a 15-year-old travelling in one of the vehicles had died at the scene.A 13-year-old child was taken to hospital after suffering serious injuries. The sole occupant of the second vehicle, a 35-year-old man driver, remains in custody for questioning, after cops arrested him at the scene, the force said.

Anyone who may have seen the car, described as a Black BMW X5, or the crash, is being asked to make contact by the serious collision investigation unit. Officers are particularly keen to speak to anyone who may have footage, including dashcam, mobile phone or CCTV/doorbell footage from the area in the moments before the collision.
