Careless driving charged laid after crash on Highway 401 in Chatham-Kent

Provincial police have charged a 24-year-old driver from Brampton after a rollover crash involving a transport truck in Chatham-Kent. According to police, officers were called to a single-vehicle collision on Highway 401 east of Drake road Sunday morning. Police say the transport truck entered the centre median, resulting in a careless driving charge being laid.

Officers closed a section of eastbound 401 for several hours to investigate and for the removal of the transport truck.

Police say there were no life-threatening injuries to the driver or passenger of the truck.
