Casualty rescued from two-vehicle crash in Daresbury
Fire crews were called to the incident at approximately 7.22pm yesterday, Tuesday, on the A56 near Hobbs Lane. Two fire engines were dispatched from Warrington and Lymm to the scene of a two-vehicle collision involving a black Honda CR-V and a white Ford Mustang. Crews had to remove the roof of the Honda to release the driver who was trapped in the car seat.
The driver sustained a dislocated knee and was tended to by paramedics who provided medical assistance. Cheshire Police and North West Ambulance Service were in attendance at the incident. A spokesperson from Cheshire Police said: “At 7.22pm on Tuesday 26 December, police were called to reports of a collision at the junction of Hobb Lane and Chester Road, Walton.
“Officers attended and found that the collision involved two cars, a black Honda CR-V and a white Ford Mustang. “The driver of the Honda sustained a dislocated knee and had to be released from his vehicle by firefighters. “There were no reports of any other serious injuries, and the scene was cleared by 9.52pm.”
Firefighters are on the scene of a road traffic collision on the A56 Chester Road, at the junction of Hobb Lane in Daresbury.
