CCTV clue as police hunt two in connection with double car burglary

Police are hunting two people in connection with the theft of two cars[1] in Coalville. Both vehicles were later found burnt out and officers have released CCTV to aid their investigation. The burglary happened at around 1.45am on Tuesday, September 5, when a house in Coalville’s[2] Waterworks Road was broken into.

The keys to a Volkswagen Golf and Move Up were both taken. Both cars were also stolen during the raid, with the Golf later found burnt out in Coalville. The Move Up was also found torched, but further afield in Barkby Thorpe.

Officers are continuing to investigate the burglary and have released CCTV of two people they believe may hold information about the incident. Anyone who knows who the people are is urged to speak with police as soon as possible. Investigating officer Detective Constable Ollie Watson said: “A credit card was also stolen, which was later used to buy goods.

From the enquiries we’ve carried out, I believe the two people pictured may be able to help our investigation.”
