25, 2023 on Small Business Saturday. A 30-year-old man died Thursday after an incident at his workplace in Manchester Township, according to the coroner’s office.
The York County Coroner’s Office announced that Joseph Via III died from blunt force injuries in an accident Tuesday at C-P Flexible Packaging. The Dover Township man was discovered unresponsive at about 11 a.m. after an incident in which he was entrapped between a forklift and a parked tractor-trailer. It was not known when the incident occurred.
Via was taken to WellSpan York Hospital and pronounced dead at 11:53 a.m., according to the coroner’s office. Because this was a workplace fatality, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration will investigate, the coroner’s office said.
