Crash on Dublin’s M50 causes major southbound delays

Commuters and Christmas shoppers are suffering major delays on the M50 after a crash in the southbound lane.

Motorists have reported emergency crews rushing to the scene.

There are delays around J6 and J7 and motorists are warned to avoid the area.

The M50 Dublin X account stated: "Collision S'bound between Blanchardstown and J7 Lucan.

Emergency services are en route."

The Irish Independent has contacted both gardai and Dublin Fire Brigade.
