A cyclist was taken to hospital following a “serious collision” in Newport. Police and paramedics were called to the A48 Southern Distributor Road on Boxing Day following a road traffic collision and later confirmed the collision involved a pushbike and a car. A statement from the Force Incident Manager at Gwent Police explained: “We received a report of a road traffic collision on the A48 Southern Distributor Road at around 5.20pm on Tuesday, December 26.
