Deer hunt reports in Cirencester spark police appeal as animals chased into road
Gloucestershire Police is appealing for information in connection with a hunt which reportedly chased three deer. Officers say the hunt took place near the A419 by the Royal Agricultural University in Cirencester at around 12pm on Monday, December 4. Police said hunters and hounds were seen chasing three young deer next to the main road.
This posed a significant risk to drivers, who were forced to stop in the road to avoid colliding with deer, the force said in a statement. The force’s Rural Crime Team is now appealing for information from anyone who may have seen the hunt. They are particularly keen to hear from anyone who has dashcam footage or any other relevant information.
