Police were conducting drink-drive checks in the Preston area last night (Monday, December 4).
The delivery driver blew just under the legal limit but was swiftly found to hold the wrong type of insurance for his vehicle. A police spokesperson said: "Drink-drive test site on the way out of Preston. Negative readings for most apart from one delivery driver who blew 20.
"However, his luck ran out when he was found to have the incorrect insurance for his business[1] and his vehicle was seized.
"The sarge saved the day by taking the delivery to a grateful, hungry customer!"
The car, a Hyundai i20, was seized.
