Drink driver who had 12-year-old passenger arrested after crash on M62
North West Motorway Police have arrested a man following a crash on the M62 near junction six in the early hours of boxing day man. The driver was breathalysed at the scene and was more than three times over the limit. There was 110 micrograms of alcohol per 100 millilitres of his breath, with the limit being 35 micrograms.
This happened while there was a 12-year-old child in the vehicle. The man is now in police custody. A spokesperson for NWMP said: “A very good morning to everyone on this cold Boxing Day.
“Remember if you were drinking yesterday and last night do not go out driving today, we have already had an arrest this morning, driver blown 110 now en route to custody.”
Sharing a photo of the crash on social media, they added: “This is the vehicle that crashed on M62 junction six, driver blew 110 at roadside, driving with 12-year-old child in vehicle, unforgiveable, male now in custody.”
