Driver seriously injured after car overturns and crashes into house near Dartmoor

A driver has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after a car and bus crashed into a house. The incident happened yesterday night (Thursday, November 30) around 9.30pm near Dartmoor. Emergency services were alerted to the crash along the road from Yelverton Roundabout.

The male driver of the car suffered serious injuries, and was taken to hospital for treatment. The road was closed for six hours while enquiries were made and the scene was cleared. The road was reopened around 3am this morning.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police[1] told PlymouthLive: “Emergency services were called at 9.30pm to the road from the Yelverton Roundabout where a car and bus had been involved in a collision.

The male driver of the car was taken to hospital with serious injuries, which are not life threatening or changing. “The road was closed whilst enquiries took place and the scene was cleared. The road was reopened at around 3am.

The incident caused damage to a property and a structural engineer will attend in due course.”
