Earthquake measured 2.7 in Concord on Friday night

An earthquake registering 2.7 magnitude occurred east of downtown Concord at around 11:15 p.m. Friday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The epicenter was located near the Steeplegate Mall.

As of Saturday afternoon, 686 reports to the USGS of weak tremors were clustered in greater Concord and the capital region, with some coming from southern New Hampshire near the Massachusetts border, north toward Lake Winnipesaukee and the area west of Portsmouth.
