East Kilbride crash as emergency services shut down road after two-vehicle collision

Emergency services[1] have rushed to a two-vehicle crash on an East Kilbride[2] road this morning. The incident happened at around 7.55am today (Tuesday) on Calderwood Road in the Lanarkshire town. The road was shut down by police following the collision.

First Bus confirmed select services were diverted due to the closure. However, the road has since been reopened and services have returned to normal.

The extent of any injuries is not currently know.

A Police Scotland[5] spokesperson said: “Around 7.55am on Tuesday, 12 December, 2023 officers were called to reports of a two vehicle crash on Calderwood Road, East Kilbride.

“Emergency services are in attendance.”
