Edinburgh police rush to crash on city road as damaged car left mounted on pavement
A car and a van collided[1] on a busy Edinburgh road on Saturday morning as one of the vehicles was left mounted on the pavement missing a wheel. Police[2] were called to reports of a two-vehicle collision on Restalrig Road at around 9.15am on December 2 as images taken by one eye witness show the extent of the damage to one car. A police car can be seen parked behind a blue Ford Fiesta which has mounted the pavement and suffered considerable damage, as a white van is also taped off down the road.
An officer can also be seen knocking on a door next to the scene as a spokesperson for the force said no injuries were sustained and both drivers exchanged details after the accident.
