Emergency services rush to Houghton Bank after A68 crash
One ambulance crew and police were sent to the scene. When they arrived they found that a vehicle had come off the road on Houghton Bank. Nobody suffered any injuries during the incident.
There was traffic in the area during rush hour this morning but the congestion has now eased. A Durham Police spokesperson said: “Police were called shortly after 5.40am today to a one-vehicle collision in which a vehicle left the road on Houghton Bank, near Darlington. Newcastle: Eddie Howe on Chelsea loanee Lewis Hall[4] “Thankfully, nobody suffered any injuries as a result of the incident.” A North East Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 5.33am this morning (Friday 22 December) to reports of a road traffic incident on Houghton Bank.
“We dispatched one ambulance crew to the scene but our service was not needed and we were stood down.”
