Essex Police arrest Southend man after drugs found
A 23-year-old man of no fixed abode has been arrested for drugs offences and being in possession of criminal property. Essex Police’s Op Falcon team were in Southend on Thursday, November 30, conducting enquiries linked to Castle Point. Officers stopped a vehicle and searched the driver and car, where they found 137 sealed bags of cannabis.
On the driver, they found GBP400 in cash and the cannabis was valued at about GBP9000. Police confirmed he has been interviewed, charged and remanded to court. A spokesman for Essex Police said: “The driver was searched under the misuse of drugs act.
“In the vehicle 137 sealed bags of cannabis were found and seized, along with GBP400 in cash on the driver.”
