Family pay tribute to ‘loving’ Somerset dad killed in motorbike crash

The "devastated" family of a "loving" dad who died in a motorcycle crash in Somerset last month have paid tribute to him.

33-year-old Isaac James died following a crash in Greenway, Monkton Heathfield on Friday, November 17. Officers from Avon and Somerset Police[1] were called to the scene of the crash at around 9pm but Isaac sadly died at the scene. Several weeks on from his death, Isaac's family have paid tribute to their "loving son, brother, dad, uncle and much-loved friend", who is leaving behind "four beautiful children".

A statement from the family reads: "We are all devastated by the loss of a big part of all our lives. Isaac was a loving son, brother, dad, uncle and much-loved friend who touched the hearts of many people."

"He lived life to the full with a smile which would light up anyone's day.

He will be sadly missed by all his family and friends," Isaac's family added. "Isaac sadly leaves behind four beautiful children - two boys, two girls - who are all being supported by the family. "The family would like to thank the people who were first on the scene and did everything they could to help Isaac as well as all emergency services - we are eternally grateful." Isaac's family have thanked those who have offered messages of support following his death, but have now asked for privacy as they come to terms with his loss.

A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police added: "Our thoughts are with Isaac's family and friends during this incredibly difficult time. "They are being supported by a specially trained family liaison officer. Two people were arrested in connection with the incident."
