Family pay tribute to man who died in collision near Chester
At around 5pm on Friday, December 8, police were called to reports of a collision on the B5132, Station Lane, between Chester Road and Morley Lane, Dunham-on-the-Hill. Police found a blue Volkswagen Golf had hit a tree. Tragically the driver, 27-year-old Jamie Lee, died at the scene, despite the best efforts of emergency services.
Following the incident, his family said: “Jamie was a hard-working young man who lived life to the fullest and was about to embark on a five-week holiday to Thailand with friends. “Family and loved ones gathered at the scene of the accident this week where they paid tribute to Jamie and reflected on their time with him. “Jamie’s parents, Mark and Sarah, their partners Clare and Chris, his brother Callum and his sisters, Kelsey and Maddy have been left devastated by the loss of a much-adored son, brother and friend.
“The experiences they shared and memories they made with Jamie will give them warmth as they come to terms with their tragic loss and the hole in their lives his passing has left. “They wish to thank everyone who has sent their condolences and love.” Jamie Lee. (Image: Cheshire Police.)
Sergeant Andrew Dennison, of the Serious and Complex Collision Investigation Unit, said: “This was a serious collision in which a young man has sadly lost his life and our thoughts are with his friends and family at this difficult time.”
