Family stunned as vulnerable man mown down in hit-and-run crash captured on CCTV

A home security camera captured the horrific moment a man with learning difficulties was hit by a car and left bleeding on a road in a hit-and-run crash. A loud bang could be heard on black-and-white footage as Sufyan Khan was left injured in Kenwood Road, Bordesley Green[1], at around 9.30pm on Monday, December 4. The victim, who has autism, was left with huge gashes across his face.

Police said the driver failed to stop at the scene and no arrests had yet been made. Mr Khan’s family, who shared the CCTV footage with BirminghamLive[2], said they were desperate to find the driver of the vehicle. In the short clip, 27-year-old Mr Khan can be seen walking towards shops in Kenwood Road before disappearing off camera.

A loud bang was then heard and Mr Khan, in an unedited version, was heard screaming. Thankfully, he survived the horrifying ordeal. His sister, Aishah, told BirminghamLive[4]: “Luckily he didn’t have any broken bones but he was battered and bruised.

His face was cut really bad.

“He was on a crossing when the car hit him. My brother is a vulnerable adult who has autism and ADHD. Whoever hit him left him in middle of the road.
