First Bus reveals Christmas and New Year timetable changes and cancellations in Bristol
First Bus has revealed its updated timetable for Bristol buses over the festive period, with revised schedules in place from Christmas Eve until New Year’s Day. There will be no services on Christmas Day and only Airport Flyovers, on Boxing Day and New Year’s Day. Throughout the period First in the West of England will be running a reduced timetable.
But some routes will offer additional journeys on certain days during the festive period. Christmas Eve falls on a Sunday this year so buses will be operating according to Sunday timetables, but with an early finish that will see last journeys operate from 8pm. New Year’s Eve, will also operate according to a Sunday schedule.
The exception will be the 39 service from Bristol to Bath[1] Bus Station via Temple Meads and Brislington[2] which will operate additional late night journeys.
The exact timings for individual bus routes will vary slightly so it will be worth checking First’s website for Christmas timetables[5] . Bristol buses 1, 2,3,4,5,7 and 74 will offer extra journeys from Wednesday, December 27 to Friday, December 29 and the 39 service will offer four late evening journeys on Christmas Eve ending at 2.05am towards Bristol and 3.05am towards Bath.
